Has it really been almost 2 weeks since I have posted last??
Time flies when the semester is ending.
I returned from Thanksgiving break in one piece
and I actually don't mind being back at school since there are only 2 weeks left.
I will be writing a post about my Thanksgiving break soon!
For now...
I broke out the Christmas music today (in attempt to get into the Christmas spirit)
Found a handful of amazing songs that I will be sharing periodically
and last, but not least, I have been reunited with Hil Billy.
We commemorated this reunion with a trip to our FAVORITE BBQ spot
5 Star BBQ on Geneva in Orem.
Every time we go we take a picture and post it on instagram
in hopes that they choose us for their monthly free meal give away.
Here is to November!
One last word But I can't hear you Watching white doves fly As you close your eyes And I don't dare try I don't know how to say goodbye Goodbye Keep holding on to let go This is the ending I know It cuts me right to the bone This is the ending I know
I feel like I've been slacking a bit ever since Halloween.
So let's play catch up, shall we?
This white stuff...
I suppose Winter is finally here!
And speaking of snow....
Whoever created this snowman battle field at my apartment complex is officially my hero.
Celebrating Caitlin's 24th birthday at Malawi's!
I love everything about the Riverwoods during this season.
Random, but memorable, trips to WinCo with Brian and Jenn
I got to see my family AGAIN but this time in Utah!
Emerson looked so cute all bundled up.
She loved her first experience in the snow.
And I'll say it again, don't be deceived by her facial expression... She actually does love me.
I also have seen 3 pretty great movies this month:
1. Fun Size
I thought this movie was pretty funny. I loved Victoria Justice in this movie as well. Although Nickelodeon produced this movie it was not a little kid movie. There were quite a few famous people in this movie that I had no idea were in it. That was a nice surprise!
2. Skyfall
I grew up watching all of the old Bond movies with my dad. I hadn't seen any of Daniel Craig's Bond movies but had heard good things. I definitely thought he played an excellent Bond. I really liked this movie but started getting restless towards the end of the movie. I felt like they could have cut out about 20 minutes of the movie.
I can't stop singing the theme song
Even though the only words I know are
Skyfallllll
3. Wreck It Ralph
I loooved this movie. I really want to go see it again because I laughed practically the whole time but can't remember any of the jokes. This movie is perfect for kids and adults. Venelope von Schweets is adorable! I also loved the message of the movie.
Love who you are.
Are all you twi-hards excited for the last installment in 2 days?
You won't see me change my mind But I really wish that I Could forget the way you are But you left this feeling here inside me The battle in my mind still fights me
“What we have, what we wish we had – ambitions fulfilled, ambitions disappointed … investments won, investments lost … elections won, elections lost – these things may occupy our attention, but they do not define us. And each of them is subject to the vagaries and serendipities of life. Our relationship with our Maker, however, depends on none of this. It is entirely in our control, for He is always at the door, and knocks for us. Our worldly successes cannot be guaranteed, but our ability to achieve spiritual success is entirely up to us, thanks to the grace of God. The best advice I know is to give those worldly things your best but never your all, reserving the ultimate hope for the only one who can grant it.”
