Time To Pretend

"I'll miss the playgrounds and the animals and digging up worms
I'll miss the comfort of my mother and the weight of the world
I'll miss my sister, miss my father, miss my dog and my home
Yeah, I'll miss the boredom and the freedom and the time spent alone."

Here is to a new day.

It's Time.

This weekend:
I was a bridesmaid in Kaitlin's wedding.
Her new last name is now Darling,
I mean does it get more adorable?

Saturday was quite eventful as well...
It was Melissa's 22nd birthday!
Melissa, Erin, and I celebrated by getting pedicures
and going to Zupa's...
Sadly, no pictures :(
Later that night a group from the ward got together
and went to Trafalga. So fun!
My roomies waxing Michelle's car while I....
stand there.
Sunday was such a great day!
Sacrament meeting was filled entirely by singing our favorite hymns.
Seeing as I'm obsessed with music.
I was quite happy....
Every lesson was exactly what I needed to hear.
Then I tagged along to a mission farewell talk with Tasha and Zack.
Another fabulous talk!

Bring on the new week.

Imagine Dragons...
Listen to them,
love them.

"Now do you understand?
I'm never changing who I am."

Lake Powell 2012

2 weeks ago I went to Lake Powell for the first time!
Tasha's family was nice enough to let me and our friend Tyler tag along.
I have heard a lot of good things about this place and
it did not disappoint!
It was quite the relaxing vacation...
Here are some highlights:

And of course,
a little tune for your day.

The Experience Of My Life

A year ago today I embarked on a journey
that would change my life,
though I didn't know it at the time.
It changed my life forever and
I returned with a different soul.
Tears are forming in my eyes while I write this
I don't think I could ever put into words
my love for these people and
although we were there to serve them...
They served us is many more ways.
They gave us love, charity, and taught ME
what the true meaning of service was.

My heart is in Fiji
and I will return back to them one day.

My favorite pictures
(but not even close to all of them)

 Such a sweet spirit.
I love her.
She wove me a basket that I still keep in my room

 Trouble makers

My favorite person and the most wonderful man I have ever met in my life
Tatui (Father Tui)
Miss that smile.

Not a fan of the bugs in Fiji

Hit by a monsoon on the way to church

 Painting the library

 coconut slap

 Peeled and ate this sucker
All the books we brought for their new library
 Sleeping arrangments

Navave boys singing and playing the guitar

 Hardest goodbye
 Lots of dance parties

 Tears while leaving the people
Jumping off the boat, our last hoorah!

The people swimming after our boat and waving goodbye
