A year ago today I embarked on a journey
that would change my life,
though I didn't know it at the time.
It changed my life forever and
I returned with a different soul.
Tears are forming in my eyes while I write this
I don't think I could ever put into words
my love for these people and
although we were there to serve them...
They served us is many more ways.
They gave us love, charity, and taught ME
what the true meaning of service was.
My heart is in Fiji
and I will return back to them one day.
My favorite pictures
(but not even close to all of them)
Such a sweet spirit.
I love her.
She wove me a basket that I still keep in my room
Trouble makers
My favorite person and the most wonderful man I have ever met in my life
Tatui (Father Tui)
Miss that smile.
Not a fan of the bugs in Fiji
Hit by a monsoon on the way to church
Painting the library
coconut slap
Peeled and ate this sucker
All the books we brought for their new library
Sleeping arrangments
Navave boys singing and playing the guitar
Hardest goodbye
Lots of dance parties
Tears while leaving the people
Jumping off the boat, our last hoorah!
The people swimming after our boat and waving goodbye
