Summer Break... Finally!

School is out for the Summer!
Boy, if I have ever needed a Summer break, it is NOW.
The weather is actually getting warm and sunny.
I can't wait to ride my bike around P-town this weekend.
I need to do a bit of shopping to prepare for Fiji.
Hopefully, get some good naps in too.

Weekends are the best aren't they?!
A picture from Easter that I never posted.

I am going to make a Summer bucket list as well.
Things I definitely want to do this Summer:
1. Read good books (Suggestions???)
2. Go to Disneyland
3. Hike somewhere new
4. Have a picnic
5. Reintroduce my skin to the sun (it's been a while)
6. Run outside
7. Yoga
8. Eat at Sammy's
9. Eat Otter Pops
10. Visit my family

What is on your Summer bucket list?

Happy 53rd Birthday to my Dad!
Love you!

Weekend Adventures

This weekend was so much fun!
I don't know if it was the high from classes ending,
or that we just did a bunch of fun stuff,
or we were both feeling a bit hyper,
or all of the above..
(I'm guessing all of the above)
But it was so much fun.

Friday night Anders and his roomies were cleaning all night long for their cleaning checks the next day.
That doesn't sound like fun but him and all of his roommates were in an awesome mood.
I had a lot to laugh at.
Of course, I pitched in a bit.
A little bit.
When I wasn't watching Wuthering Heights :)
It never gets old...
Around midnight we needed a little break so we got everyone ice cream cones from Mickey D's.

Saturday was the best.
Sometime around noon we drove up to SLC to meet up with my good friends Jeff & Laura.
Jeff & Laura were a couple of my best friends my Freshman year of College.
They just happened to meet, fall in love, and get married!
So we met up at Hire's Big H.
EAT THERE!
I love it so much.
I got chicken fingers and fries. Classic.
(You can never go wrong with their peanut butter shake either)
After we ate we went to the ZOO!
I haven't been in forever.
I was not disappointed either.
It was a little rainy but that didn't get us down.
We had so much fun with Jeff & Laura.
We probably got a six pack from laughing so much.

 We rode the carousel.
 Saw the elephants eat!
Watched this funny polar bear put on a show.
Oh, he was working it for the crowd!
Anders and I had a little too much fun posing with the animal statues.

I now want a sea lion, giraffe, baby monkey, elephant ride, sloth, and an otter!
Maybe I'll just open my own zoo.

After the zoo and napping at his Aunt & Uncle's
we headed back to Provo,
got a quick bite to eat,
and saw The Croods.
Such a cute movie!
The sloth was definitely my favorite character.
Figures, right?

Sunday was equally as fun and a bit more relaxing.
We are just finishing up papers, study guides, etc.
But hey, school is over on Wednesday!!

Did I mention that Anders and I are having a BLAST riding our Razor scooters around Provo?
We are.
We are like little kids and I don't even care.
It is so much fun!

Happy Birthday Mr. R

Happy 23rd Birthday to this sweet boy!

Thank you for all the laughs,
for squeezing in date nights during this crazy semester,
for lending your ear while I talk and talk and talk about my day,
for getting in food fights,
for running with me at night,
for bringing me smoothies in the morning,
for holding me when I cry,
for encouraging me to go after my goals
(especially the ones that scare me),
for being patient with me,
for being a good example,
for having mini dance parties in the car,
for coming to the ward activities I plan,
for taking work off so we can drive down to Vegas,
for being a good example,
for teaching me how to ski,
for our random trips to DQ,
for all of the above and so much more.

But most of all,
Thank you for being my best friend.

Now let's go party!

Lindsay Bennett. Follow Your Bliss.

4 years ago today I lost a friend in a drunk driving accident.
I'm grateful to have known Lindsay.
She taught me so much in the little time I knew her.
She was fearless and always fought for her dreams.
Her favorite quote was "follow your bliss"
It is a great motto to live by.
I hope we can all follow our bliss.
Life is a lot shorter than we realize.

I love and miss you Lindsay,
as well as all my dance team girls.
This tragedy brought us closer than we ever imagined was possible.
I can't believe it has been 4 years.
It feels just like yesterday.

I Don't Know About You But I'm Feeling...

22!
I waited 6 months to say that.
I was so excited to quote that song when I turned 22.
However, I didn't take into account that most of my friends turned 22 before me...
And it turns out they are T Swift fans as well :)

Regardless, here I am, one year older in all my glory.
What can I say? I'm glad to be alive!

I was born on March 25, 1991 on a cold rainy day in Seattle.
(I don't actually know what the weather was like but it's Seattle so I can only assume it was raining)

I began my birthday festivities when my favorite man brought be nice Jamba Juice smoothie in the morning.
This delicious smoothie was accompanied by a very sweet card.
He's pretty good at giving me sweet cards :)
And I'm pretty good at collecting them.
We watched a little Boy Meets World before he had to scoot off to school.

I continued throughout my day as usual,
school and then work.

Throughout my work day, presents started to trickle in.
My friends and boyfriend are so sweet and they definitely know me well!
I received a large amount of diet coke, snickers, and peanut butter M&M's.
Anders surprised me with a bag full of goodies and balloons!
I got these gorgeous flowers from my boss.
They smelled so good.
My apartment smelled like Hawaii for days.

After work I changed into some of my fancy new clothes.
(I went on a huge shopping spree Saturday... it was amazing)
My roommates, mom, brother, his girlfriend, Brian (basically my brother), Anders, and I celebrated my birth by eating tons of Southern food at Goodwood! I love that place!
I haven't eaten there since my 21st birthday.

After stuffing our faces we went to my apartment to stuff them some more.
My mom got cupcakes from the Sweet Tooth Fairy. Amazing!
The lady that owns it won the cupcake wars on the Food Network.
I proceeded to open my presents as excitedly as a little child on Christmas Day.

My favorite part about my birthday are all of the thoughtful texts and cards that I get.
I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life!
It's nice to just know someone remembered you.

Thank you to my friends and family who made it a wonderful day.
Here is to another year full of adventures!
