President's Day Weekend

Well, thank goodness for Presidents! Am I right?
I mean at least we get a day off of school and work.
I definitely needed this nice little break.
Anders and I drove down to Vegas on Saturday to visit my family.
We didn't leave until Saturday because our good friends Cameron and Kali were getting married.
Congrats guys!! It was so fun to be at the temple as they walked out all married and cute.

Anyways, Saturday night we ate dinner with my fam and hit the strip.
The strip really isn't that great but there are some fun lights to see.
Just be careful where you look, with all those naked lady pictures floating around!
We saw 2 and 1/2 fountain shows at the Bellagio.
Walked around City Center.
And at a delicious cookie sundae at Serendipity 3.
Serendipity is known for their frozen hot chocolate.
If that is as good as the sundae then I am sold!

Sunday we went to church at 9am.
Then we got to spend the rest of the day napping and eating.
It was a wonderful day if you ask me!
Time to sleep has been rare as of late.
That night I made a nice penne pasta dinner,
followed by a visit to Jenn's,
and a trip to the Las Vegas temple.
Jordan had to hack my phone, as usual.
Monday was equally as fun and relaxing.
We got to eat breakfast at The Griddle (famous for their red velvet pancakes),
And meet up with Jessica Summerhays. love that girl!
We did a little hiking before getting ready for the day and packing up.
We took our sweet time leaving the warm weather.
We stopped and ate at Chipotle before heading out.
I seriously love that place.

It was a long drive back with a fun stop in St. George to visit some friends.
Overall, it was a nice getaway from Provo.
Sometimes it's just nice to take a breather from school, work, and church callings.
Long drives aren't so bad when you have good company!

Valentine's Day

Whether or not I've had a valentine, (and let's face it this was the first year I had one)
I have always loved this holiday!
I mean it's all about celebrating love and those that you are lucky enough to have in your life.

This year got to celebrate lover's day with Anders.
I decided to decorate his room.
It looked better in person :)
Balloons, streamers, chocolate everywhere, a candy gram, and a sweet card.
Then I got to work and was surprised by these beautiful flowers and chocolates!
I was so so happy!
I got this awesome valentine from my co worker Brent.
After work Anders picked me up for a little sushi date!
When I opened the door he had another rose, a candle, and a homemade card.
He spoils me!
So cute.
Anyways,
I looooove sushi.
I don't care what anyone says, it is delicious!
Then we went to Sub Zero for some ice cream.
 Guess what we did next??
Homework!
This is the life I live.
A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

I had a wonderful Valentine's Day with a wonderful man.
What a blessing he is in my life!
Ok, I'll stop being sappy.

I hope everyone enjoyed Valentine's and celebrated those they love!
Yay for love :)

Table For 1

Once upon a time I made a goal to go out to eat all by myself.
I didn't end up doing this until about 3 months ago.
And last week I even did it again.
I thought it would be weird sitting in a booth all alone,
with everyone and their families staring at me.
But it wasn't weird at all!
I felt totally normal.
And guess what?
I actually liked it.

Weekend Wrap Up/ Car Accident

This weekend was uneventful yet eventful.
Friday night was filled with pizza, movies, and homework.
It feels so good to veg sometimes!

Saturday:
I slept IN.
Sleeping in is the best part of the weekend if you ask me.
Anders and I were able to hang out with his mom for a little bit.
She was kind enough to drive down to Provo to help her kids with their taxes.

I am my ward's activity co-chair and Saturday night we had a big Stake activity
that I needed to help out with.
Anders and I decided to get some In N Out before the activity.
It was so yummy!
Boy, I've missed that place.
It's been years since I have eaten there.

Then, on our way to the Stake activity, we got in a car accident!
Neither of us had been in a car accident before.
It was pretty snowy Saturday night and the roads were slick.
We were driving down State St., through an intersection, when a car turning left T-boned us.
We then slid into the car in front of us
(which happened to be a huge truck so technically we slid underneath it)
Neither of us were hurt so that's what matters most!
Anders' car is still driveable with a few battle wounds.
It took a while for the police to get there because there were quite a few accidents that night.

It was quite the adventure!
We were able to make it to the last part of the activity.
We even got a tour of where they keep the zambonis!
Those things are huge.

Regardless of the car accident we were able to have an enjoyable Saturday evening!
I sure love spending my weekends with this guy.

Weekend In Wyoming

Saturday we headed up to Evanston, Wyoming to hang out with Anders' family.
I had only briefly been to Wyoming during a church history tour my Senior year of High School.
I was very excited to visit a new place and to see where Anders grew up!
When we got there we headed up to the mountains for a little cross-country skiing.
Since I grew up in Nevada I have never done anything remotely close to skiing or snowboarding.
This certainly was an experience!
I started off a little shaky but eventually got the hang of it.
And it was a blast!
I didn't fall once.
Probably because I took my skis off for all of the hills, haha.
But cross-country skiing is no joke!
My calves are still sore.
Naturally, we had to take a picture in front of the Wyoming sign.

Relaxing after a long day of skiing :)
We also watched a dog sled race. It was awesome!
You can't tell in this picture but this was after I struggled up a hill for about 5 minutes.
I look like I have it all together but I definitely didn't!

It was just a day trip to Evanston but it was a blast.
It's so fun to get out and travel together!

I am loving me some country right now.
Dreaming of summer.
