It was the cutest shower ever... Her friends are so talented.

Deidre is also leaving for Idaho tonight to compete in Miss Idaho.

Tomorrow (after a math test and my last day of work at the CDC for the summer)

I head off to Lake Powell!! My first trip ever to this magical place (or so I'm told)

I'll be gone for 9 days so I'll be a little (ok, a lot) M.I.A.

I'm so excited to get my tan on!

I hope my skin hasn't become too acclimated to this Utah sun.

AKA really pale and burns easily.

So I do this thing where I fall in love with a book or movie 

and I want everyone I know to love it as much as I do.

Well, this month it is

Wuthering Heights

I've read this book a while ago in High School

when you HAVE to read books for school so you hate them.

And this week I randomly stumbled upon 

(which makes it even more special)

the Masterpiece (literally that what it's called) 

that PBS created.

AND. IT. WAS. SO. GOOD.

PBS sure does it right.

 Can you guess what book I'll be re-reading this month?

 My roommate Michelle is an English major 

and she LOVED the movie as much as I do.

So you know it's good.

 Tom Hardy makes the most excellent Heathcliff.

Nothing brings me back to my childhood in the 90's quite like a little Celine Dion. I seriously remember my best friend Lexie and my older sister Jenn taking turns singing from the balcony over looking our family room. Now Celine is a fellow Vegas resident. Gotta love her. I was so happy when Glee covered this song (even though I don't actually love the show... I do love the music). Here's a little Rachel Berry jam sesh.

First Summer Vacation

Hey bloggers!

I'mmmm back and ready for summer :)

Summer is by far my favorite season. 

The possibilities are limitless.

Well, about a week and a half ago my family and I 

rang in the summer

with our first vacation to New Port beach.

It wasn't as long as I'd hoped but it wasn't short of fun!

We got there Friday and left on a Sunday.

There was plenty of food, fun, sun, and of course sand.

My favorite part was spending time with my cute little niece 

who I only see about once a month (or more).

She turned 6 months during our trip!

Emmie now likes to grab anything she can with her hands.

Including your face. (watch out for that... wearing earrings is strongly discouraged)
