Last week was incredible

It began with a UVUSA retreat

(Utah Leadership Academy) held at Salt Lake Community College

All the student government kids from Utah come & learn

lots of great things to help us in our positions.

Not to mention networking, bonding,

dancing, and the Michelle Branch concert

The day I got back I headed down to Vegas

for a quick & spontaneous trip home.

Falling Slowly

If you know me at all you know that I am a sucker for a good love story. And although I've seen this movie before, last night I watched Kate & Leopold. I have always thought I was born in the wrong era but after watching this movie last night (and of course the movie Pride & Prejudice) all my thoughts were confirmed. I wish for days that are long & drawn out because you actually have a conversation with someone. Not about people but about books or events. I wish for days where you walk somewhere and look around... Where dancing was elegant. Where dating was called courting & men were gentlemen.

Yep, I'm a sucker for these things but I still believe some of that exists.

Yesterday was also Mother's day.

I wish I could have been with my mom.

She is the greatest!

She is one of my best friends

I miss her and love her everyday!

this week Cori & I had a photo shoot

It felt good to get behind the camera again.

The colors don't show up as well on blogspot but that is alright... Another bit of news is about my advisor in UVUSA. Andrew Stone. He is leaving UVU and I'm so sad about it! He was one of the first people I met in UVUSA and has been a great boss, advisor, and mentor. I'm so bummed!
