This weekend was Kaitlin's 21st birthday!
We went to Leatherby's for dinner.
And then went to the Sheraton in SLC
& had a sleepover!
It was snowing like crazy.
But it was peaceful being inside
a warm hotel room watching
the snow fall over the city.

Martinelli's!
I love this girl!
The next day we went to the Gateway.
We ate at California Pizza Kitchen.
Did you know they have pumpkin cheesecake!?
Well they do, and you should definitely eat some.

This Thursday I'm going to Nashville for a Senate conference! So obviously I'm getting my Nashville soundtrack ready. Lady A can do no wrong.

Emerson Croshaw

On Friday November 4th my sister Jenn gave birth to a
sweet little girl Emerson.
This is the first grandchild for my parents
& the first niece for my siblings & I!
What a blessing she is in our lives already!
She has been in the NCIU and will be there for a few more days.
There was some fluid in her lungs
and her heart rate has been slow.
But she is a tough little girl
and will be healthy in no time!!

I just love her so much already!!
I can't wait to meet her over Thanksgiving break.

Emmy holding my mom's finger.

How precious is she??
I'm in love.
& I haven't even met her yet.
I hope she is ready to meet the coolest Aunt EVER.

P.S. Have you heard my girl Florence's new album?
It will rock your world.

Ok, so I'm on a bit of a music kick. What else is new right? One good thing to come out of the Twilight series is the soundtrack. And for the record I'm not a twi-hard fan, but this just makes my heart melt.

I have died every day,
waiting for you.
Darling, don't worry.
I've loved you for a thousand years.
I'll love you for a thousand more.
And all along,
I believed I would find you.
Time has brought your heart to me,
I've loved you for a thousand years
& I'll love you for a thousand more.

Iron & Wine.
Seriously?
I'm in love.

It's a Taking Back Sunday...

Kind of day...

And it's all too familiar
And it happens all the time.
All the cards begin to stack up,
Twisting heartache into fine
Little pieces that avoid an awful crime,
But it's you I can't deny.

We swing and we sway
As this tiny voice in
My head starts to sing
"You're safe, child, you are safe."

Hello there,

Have you seen Mr. Gatsby?
Sincerely,
Daisy Buchanan

A little melody to make your heart sigh.

Ahhh, music...
